FlyHermes is a managed hosting service that runs your own Hermes AI agent for you, so you get a working agent without renting a server, opening a terminal or wiring up API keys. Per its website, it's "the easiest way to deploy and run your own Hermes AI agent," and it claims your agent can be live in about 60 seconds.

That's the short answer. Below you'll get what it actually includes, what it costs, where it falls short, and how it compares with running Hermes yourself. If you'd rather own your setup and learn how to build agents properly, the AI Profit Boardroom is where I teach that, step by step.
What FlyHermes is (and what it isn't)
Hermes Agent is an open-source AI agent. Normally you'd install it on your own machine or a VPS, connect a model, set up memory and tools, and keep it running. That's fine if you're comfortable with servers. Most people aren't.
FlyHermes removes that part. You pay a monthly fee, and they host and run a Hermes agent on your behalf. You talk to it through the chat apps you already use.
Here's the important bit: FlyHermes is not made by Nous Research. Per its website, it's run by HF Data Studio LLC, based in New York, and it describes itself as an "Independent service, not affiliated with Nous Research." So think of it as a third-party host for an open-source agent, not the official product.
That's not a red flag on its own. Plenty of good services host open-source software. It just means you should know who you're handing your agent to.
How FlyHermes setup works
Per the site, setup comes down to three steps:
- Pick a plan. Choose monthly or annual Pro, or talk to them about Enterprise.
- Connect a channel. Supported channels are Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, Discord and web chat.
- Give the agent instructions. Tell it what it's for, how to behave and what jobs to do.
That's it. No VPS to rent, no terminal commands, no Docker. That's why they claim "60 seconds." Whether it's exactly a minute for you will depend on how fast you write your instructions, but the point stands: the technical setup is done for you.
Compare that with doing it yourself. My guide on how to set up Hermes Agent walks through the self-hosted route, and it's very doable, but it takes longer than a minute and you'll be the one maintaining it.
What's included
Per its website, a FlyHermes plan includes:
- Model API access. You don't need separate OpenAI or Anthropic accounts. Supported models listed include Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and Llama.
- Persistent memory. Your agent remembers context between conversations.
- Built-in tools and a Skills Library. Ready-made abilities you can switch on instead of building from scratch.
- Scheduled jobs. The agent can run tasks on a timer, like a daily summary or a weekly check.
- Scraping and search tooling. So it can pull information from the web.
- A monthly usage allowance. Your model usage is covered up to a limit. The size of that limit isn't stated on the site.
The model access is the big one for beginners. Setting up API keys, billing and rate limits across several providers is where a lot of people get stuck. Bundling it in is a real convenience. If you want to see how different models actually perform on practical tasks before you pick one, check out Goldie Bench.
FlyHermes pricing
Here's what the site lists right now:
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| FlyHermes Pro (monthly) | $49/month | Billed monthly, cancel anytime |
| FlyHermes Pro (annual launch offer) | $39/month ($468/year) | Billed yearly, listed as saving 20% |
| Enterprise | Custom | SSO/SAML, a success manager and an SLA |
There's no free trial listed. Prices can change, so check the current page at FlyHermes before you sign up.
One thing to keep in mind: the annual offer is cheaper per month, but you're committing $468 up front to a service you haven't used yet. If you're unsure, start monthly and switch later if it works for you.
The guarantee
Instead of a free trial, FlyHermes offers a 14-day guarantee on your first account. Per the site, here's how it works on the monthly plan: you get a refund of your first month minus any AI credits you've already used. It's limited to one guarantee per person or business.
So it's not a full no-questions refund. If you spend the first two weeks running heavy jobs, the AI credits you burned come off the refund. Test it with a few light tasks first, then decide.
You can cancel anytime, so you're not locked in on monthly.
The trade-offs
Every managed service swaps control for convenience. Here's what you give up with FlyHermes:
- You don't own the server. Your agent lives on their infrastructure. If they change prices, change features or shut down, you're affected.
- The usage allowance size isn't published. You know you get a monthly allowance, but not how big it is. Heavy users should ask before paying.
- A third party runs your agent. Your instructions, memory and conversations pass through their systems. Read their Privacy Policy and Terms before connecting anything sensitive, like a business Slack or client WhatsApp.
- Testimonials on the site are unverified. They may be genuine, but there's no way to check them, so don't lean on them.
None of that makes it bad. It just means it fits some people better than others.
FlyHermes vs self-hosting vs Agent OS
You've got three realistic ways to run a Hermes agent. Here's how they line up:
| Option | Cost | Setup | Who owns it | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FlyHermes | $49/month or $39/month billed yearly | Pick a plan, connect a channel, add instructions | Hosted by a third party | People who want zero technical setup |
| Self-hosting (desktop or VPS) | Your hardware or VPS, plus model API costs | Install, connect models, configure memory and tools yourself | You | People comfortable with servers who want full control |
| Agent OS in the AI Profit Boardroom | $69/mo, includes courses and coaching | Guided setup with step-by-step training | You | People who want to own their setup and learn to build agents |
Self-hosting gives you the most control. You can run Hermes on your own computer with the Hermes desktop app, or put it on a server so it runs 24/7. My roundup of the best Hermes VPS options covers that route, and it actually lists FlyHermes as the easiest no-server pick if you don't want to touch a VPS at all.
Agent OS is the system I built for running agents properly on your own setup. You own everything, and you get the training to understand what you're running instead of renting a black box. The Agent OS guide explains how it works. It comes with the AI Profit Boardroom, along with courses on Hermes Agent, Claude Code and more, plus live coaching calls.
The simple way to think about it: FlyHermes rents you a running agent. Self-hosting and Agent OS let you own one.
Who FlyHermes is for
FlyHermes makes sense if:
- You want a Hermes agent in Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp or Discord this week, and you don't want to learn servers.
- You don't want to manage separate API accounts for Claude, GPT or Gemini.
- You're happy paying a monthly fee for convenience.
- Your use case isn't so sensitive that a third-party host is a problem.
It's probably not the right fit if:
- You want full ownership and control of your agent and data.
- You plan to run heavy workloads and need to know your usage limits up front.
- You want to actually learn how agents work so you can build more of them for your business or clients.
