A Claude Code SEO agent took one of my sites from near-zero traffic to 12,700 clicks in 28 days, and this post is the full case study with the exact workflow you can copy. No team, no big budget, no creative breakthroughs — just a Claude Code agent running a tight loop of keyword research, content creation, deployment, and indexing.

The Numbers
Two sites, same approach, different stages of growth.
Site one went from almost zero traffic to 12,700 clicks in 28 days. Site two is at 3 clicks a day and growing every week on the same trajectory. No team, no big budget, no clever trick — just Claude Code, a tight workflow, and a system you set up once and let run.
What The Claude Code SEO Agent Actually Does
The agent takes a keyword, writes the content, publishes to multiple sites, submits the URLs for indexing, and tracks the work in a spreadsheet. That's the entire loop.
I give it a keyword and a related video, and the rest happens automatically.
The Workflow Step By Step
The workflow is six steps, each handled by the same skill.
Step one is finding low-competition keywords. I look for keywords where the top 10 results have weak domains (Medium, Reddit, small blogs), the intent is informational or how-to, and there's no big brand dominating. If you've followed Claude Code AI SEO, this is the same starting point.
Step two is feeding the keyword into Claude Code. I copy the keyword into Claude Code Desktop, paste a related video transcript or topic notes, and trigger a custom skill that runs the SEO workflow.
Step three is the agent writing 5 unique articles. The skill writes one unique article per target site — same keyword, but different angle, structure, examples, and FAQs each time. The agent embeds the related YouTube video near the top, adds CTAs, and internal-links to existing posts on the same site.
Step four is auto-deploying to all five sites. Each article saves to its site folder, the agent runs the build with Eleventy, and deploys to Netlify via the Netlify API. All five sites are updated within a few minutes.
Step five is submitting to Omega Indexer. The agent calls the Omega Indexer API, submits all five URLs, and names the campaign with the keyword and date. This is the part that actually gets the content indexed quickly rather than waiting weeks for Google's slow crawler.
Step six is updating the tracking sheet. The agent posts a row to my Google Sheet with the keyword, video URL, status, and the five live URLs. I can see exactly what's been published and where in 10 seconds.

Why Claude Code Specifically
I tried this with other tools first, and Claude Code wins for four reasons that genuinely matter for SEO automation.
It handles long, multi-step workflows reliably without losing the thread halfway through. It has strong file system access so it can write the markdown directly rather than copy-pasting through a UI. It calls APIs cleanly, including Netlify, Omega Indexer, and Google Sheets, which keeps the whole pipeline in one tool. And it integrates with my IDE and CLI seamlessly so the agent feels like part of my normal dev environment.
You can technically do this with Claude direct, OpenClaw, or Hermes. I covered an OpenClaw version in OpenClaw AI SEO and a Hermes version in Hermes Agent Workspace. For pure SEO automation, though, Claude Code is the cleanest stack available right now.
The Stack I'm Running
Six tools and one custom skill make up the entire setup.
Claude Code is the main agent. Netlify handles hosting and deployment. Eleventy (11ty) is the static site generator. Omega Indexer handles fast Google indexing. Google Sheets is the tracking layer. The custom Claude skill orchestrates the whole flow end-to-end.
That's it. Six tools, one custom skill, and you've got an SEO agent that runs while you sleep.
Content Quality Matters
The agent doesn't just spew content — it writes with real structure and intent.
Each article gets clear headings, real case study references where they exist in the brief, personal voice in the Hormozi-style sentence-per-line format, four to six FAQ questions, multiple CTAs throughout the page, and internal links to two to four related prior articles. Quality is genuinely the difference between ranking and being ignored, and the skill is tuned to produce content that ranks rather than content that fills a slot.
How Indexing Speeds Up Ranking
If your content isn't indexed, it can't rank. Period.
Omega Indexer is what makes this fast. Without it, you're at the mercy of Google's slow crawler and content can take weeks to even appear in the index. With it, content is usually indexed within hours of publishing, which compresses the time-to-ranking dramatically.

CTAs That Actually Convert
The agent writes CTAs throughout the article, not just at the bottom.
Specifically, there's a button at the top of the article, a styled callout 30% of the way down, a second callout 70% down, and links to community plus courses near the FAQ section. This pattern is what turns traffic into community sign-ups, and without good CTAs, even ranking #1 doesn't convert at the rate you'd want.
Tracking So Nothing Slips
The Google Sheet is the simplest possible tracker — column A holds the keyword, column B holds the video URL, column C holds the status, and columns D-H hold the five live URLs.
The agent updates the sheet automatically as part of every run, which means I can scan it and see what's been published in 10 seconds without opening any of the sites manually.
What If You Don't Want Claude Code
You don't have to use Claude Code to run this workflow.
The same loop works with Claude direct (manual but free), OpenClaw (see OpenClaw AI SEO), and Hermes (see Hermes Agent Workspace). The principles are the same — only the level of automation differs.
Claude Code gives the highest level of automation right now, but the alternatives are perfectly capable if you've already invested in them.
Common Mistakes With Claude Code SEO Agents
Five mistakes I see people make when trying to copy this workflow.
The first is picking high-competition keywords on day one. Start with low-competition keywords and build authority first — trying to rank for hard terms before you have a strong domain is a fast way to burn out. The second is skipping internal links, which massively improve ranking and dwell time; the agent should always include two to four. The third is no video embed. Pages with video rank better, so always embed. The fourth is skipping indexing. Without Omega Indexer or an equivalent, content takes weeks to get indexed and that's weeks of lost ranking potential. The fifth is generic CTAs that don't speak to the specific reader on the specific page — personalised CTAs convert while generic ones don't.

How do I find low-competition keywords?
