Here's the exact gateway walkthrough from my test.

Download Buzz from buzz.xyz and get it running.
Update Hermes to the latest version — the Buzz option only appears on an updated install.
Make sure Hermes ACP is set up (or get Claude to do it for you).
Run hermes gateway setup and select Buzz from the list.
Give it the relay URL, which is your community URL — you'll find it in the hosted community section inside your Buzz settings.
Leave the channel UUIDs field empty so the agent joins ALL channels.
Allow community members to talk to the agent, then hit done.
Restart the gateway so it picks up the new changes.

After the restart, Hermes Agent appeared directly in my agent runtimes.

Then one last step: go to Settings → Agents → Agent Defaults, select Hermes Agent, and save defaults.

Now every conversation in Buzz defaults to your Hermes agent as the provider.

If a step fails, the most common culprit is an outdated Hermes install — update first, then re-run the gateway setup.
